Take control. Vaginal thrush, or candidiasis, is a very common problem: about three-quarters of women will experience it at some point. The frustrating symptoms include an itching and burning sensation around the vagina, a thick white discharge and perhaps redness or swelling in the vaginal or vulval area. The culprit is an overgrowth of the fungus (or yeast) Candida albicans. With the naturally-derived antifungal agent in Nilstat® Vaginal Cream, you can get it back under control.

INGREDIENTS
Nystatin, sorbic acid.

DIRECTIONS
Apply 5g once or twice daily using the reusable applicator** provided. Store in a cool dry place below 25C.
See your doctor before use if you are pregnant or diabetic. See your doctor if symptoms persists or worsen after 3 days of use. Check with a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking other medicines.
I need to see a doctor, or is using Nilstat® Vaginal Cream enough?
Seek medical advice before you begin first course of treatment. The symptoms of thrush can be quite similar to those of other vaginal infections which may require a different type of treatment.

I am pregnant. Is using Nilstat® Vaginal Cream safe?
Do NOT use the applicator if you are pregnant. Talk to your doctor before you use this product.

How long will it take before things improve?
You should feel more comfortable within 48 hours. If there is no improvement within three days, or if symptoms return soon after the course of treatment, see your doctor.

What else can I do to help my recovery?
Avoid wearing nylon underwear, pantyhose or tight-fitting garments. Avoid using douches as well as soaps, perfumed products and antiseptics in the genital area. See your doctor if you have recurring cases of thrush.

Can I still have sex while continuing this treatment?
Yes, though it may feel uncomfortable. Vaginal thrush isn't sexually transmitted. Be aware that Nilstat® Vaginal Cream may damage the rubber in condoms and diaphragms – do not rely on them as a contraceptive measure.
Nilstat® Vaginal Cream is only available over the counter from your pharmacist. RRP is $10 for a 75g tube.
